Can from the Black Toad. Appearance - amber to brown with a big foamy, beige head. Nose - red fruit and orange. Caramel and brown bread. Taste - cranberry, red cherry, brown bread again. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and roasty finish. Overall - good example of the style.

440ml can. Pours a clear dark ruby, beige head. Aroma of caramel/toffee malts, fruits hops. Taste follows suit, sweet toffee/caramel malts up front, fruity/citrusy hops giving orange, berry flavours, leading to a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very nice - Red IPA is debatable as the malt seems to lead rather than the hops. Very much enjoyed in any case.
