Bottle 330ml. @ [ oh6gdx house - Vasa ]. [ As Saimaan Brewer’s Special Rye IPA ].Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, rye, caramel, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, metalic bitter, rye. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160710] 6-3-6-3-13

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Lightly hazy golden. Spicy nose with some citrus. Dryish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Peppery bread, some pears and citrus. Long bitter finish.

330ml from a design bottle, bought from djoeye and shared with Finn. Hazy golden body under a stable pearl white head. Spotty lacing. Mixed nose of bread and ripe citrus. Blended taste character of herbal hops, bread and pine. Dry bitter ending. Fine bodied. Pleasing (session at Finns place in Tromsø 28.07.2016).

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt på Nerstranda 28 Jul 16. Gyldengulbrun. Filmskum. Partikkel-uklarheter. Lett fruktaroma. Smaken har det samme lette fruktpreget. Plommer. Avslutter tørt & bittert.

Samea, oranssinruskea olut hyvin pienellä vaahdolla. Oluen saa kaataa lasiin varsin reilulla otteella, jotta vaahtoa kertyy. Toisaalta yllätykseksi vaahtoa jää kuitenkin pieni aavistuksenomainen kerros oluen pinnalle. Tuoksu melko ohut ja ehkä hieman purkkaisen tunkkainen. Sitruksisuutta ja havuisuutta löytyy hieman. Maku sitruksinen, havuinen ja keskiasteisen katkeran greippinen. Ruista löytyy varsinkin jälkipuolelta. Melko tunkkainen kuitenkin, eikä tämä parhaille ja raikkaimille IPA:lle pärjää millään.

Bottled (from Alko). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is rye, some smoked wood and mild fruit floral and herbal notes. Flavour is rye some herbal and mild toffeeish notes.

Bottle in our shabby Helsinki apartment. Hazy yellowish gold beer, not much of a head. Palate is light, dry and finely crisp. Thin malts bring a little creamy sweetness but also rye tang. Floral bitter hops that unfortunately gets soapy. A little citric peel before a dry bitterish soapy finish. Messy.

330ml bottle from Alko. BBE 9/2016. Pours clear orange with a small head. Aroma of hay, grass, rye, caramel and stingy ripe fruits. Taste is sweet, smooth and grassy with some citrus, rye, stingy fruits, hints of vegetables and caramel. Finish is bitter, grassy and earthy with some rye, citrus, pine and vegetables. A bit unbalanced.

Mild smell of hops and grain. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of hops, soap, spruce. Acidic and sour, also bitter. Not so much rye to be noted, also not IPA-like. More like a saison. Soft and flat carbon, slightly viscous texture.
