Can to tulip.
Appearance: golden yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which settled off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: peppercorn to coriander spiciness; subtle bubblegum; hay/straw notes; sweet grassy/freshly cut grass-ish scents; light cracker malts
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine semi-sweet tone to a eloquent spicy tone; finishes leaning into the noted spices and a touch of the bubblegum
Texture: light to medium bodied; semi-sessionable; good smoothness and the spices seem to be tame enough here to not be distracting; good carb level
Overall: I say a pretty nicely done saison worth coming back to.

This is a pounder can gift from my daughters, it came from NH! Almost clear pale and then there is this giant head that forbids more than a quarter cup pour into my class. Taste is saison but it definitely has quite a bit of hops in there. Yes, good cutting carbonation. Those hops things are almost coming across as astringent in the middle. The brew out of the bottom of the can is now quite cloudy. Now I see things floating in the glass. Maybe, just perhaps, there is a little bit of pepper in there on the ending. Yes, overall this stuff is not too bad but it could do with a little less of that astringent bite in there.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Coriander and hay aromas. Medium bodied with sweet hay and bubblegum upfront turning to sourdough and coriander in the lasting finish. Haven't had a Hennepin in a while, but this tastes very similar...
