We love brewing West Coast IPAs and appreciate how well they work in beautifully conditioned cask beer. Rattlesnake is a great example of this and its absolutely packed with classic hops from the USA, the aroma is all grapefruit and pine leading to a fantastic display of flavour across the palate with lemon, melon and lychee all coming to the fore. It's perfectly balanced with a malty sweetness in the body, and a refreshing bitter bite to finish.

Euston Tap. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, good off white head. Soft and light palate with a little fine carbonation. Light touch of Elderflower. Minor malt dust and light malt cream. Soft marmalade and a dash of citrus. Finishes semi dry. Quite a smooth IPA but compared with the others I’ve had tonight - well it’s a bit muted.

Cask at the Euston Tap - London. Pours mostly. Lear gold with a soft, foamy white head. Not much happening in the aroma , some mellow hibts of tangerine maybe, a bit of dry pine. Medium sweet flavor with a fairly pronounced booziness, modest bready pale malts, tangerine, orange rind, light dirty grass bitterness. Medium bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with subtle sticky pine, a bit of alcohol, dry tangerine, melon, pine needles. Slow starter but gets a bit better as you drink it.

Cask at Cross Scythes. Pale amber. Short lived white head. No real discernible aroma, taste is clean, malt biscuit with a long bitter finish. Plenty of alcohol in there too. Less hoppy than I was expecting for a beer of this style. Probably quite easy to get carried away with.
