Sweet, heavy with vanilla notes, loads of maple syrup, bourbon, toffee and caramel, hints of chocolate and cocoa. Pretty nice, surprisingly balanced, just the right amount of maple syrup so that it doesn't overpower everything else.

On tap at The Wandering Tortoise, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich and complex, with tons of vanilla beans, moderate maple syrup presence, sticky dark sugars, and of course big bourbon barrel notes to round things out. Flavour doesn't disappoint, with an incredible mix of maple syrup, vanilla, bourbon barrels, and dark sugars. Despite all the sugars, it's not even remotely cloying. Everything is beautifully integrated. Fantastic.

Tap. Pours inky black, small brown head, decent lacing. Aroma is fudge, vanilla, maple, bourbon, rich, roast. Flavor is sweet, light plus bitter. Full body, silky mouthfeel. Good.
