True-to-style Baltic Porter aged in Sagamore Rye Whiskey barrels for 11 months. Fermented cold with lager yeast and cold conditioned extensively to provide the smoothest, cleanest, crispest dark beer possible. Far less roasty than American Porter/Stout.

Big whiskey, some roast and coffee. Dark chocolate. Black pour with decent head. Light tangy end. Decent stuff, booze hangs with you for a while though. Tap at brewery. 838316

Can. Pours opalue mahogany, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is woody and boozy. Whisky out the wazoo. Malty cocoa and toffee, some molasses. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Hot. Medium body. Those Sazerac barrels that EP uses for everything are pretty fucken harsh. I think you need to either switch providers or cut down the time spent in them to really mellow out the resulting product.
