Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Light spicy/malty aroma. Med + body. Flavor is darkish malt, with date/fig/raisin type fruit. Seems to develop a touch of fennel. Very nice. Some yeast. Some chocolate. Keeps developing new flavor suggestions.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a dark, deep brown hued body with a large tan head that lasts. Aromas are malty, brown sugar, lightly spicy hop character, low phenol but somewhat stronger esters, cereal grain. Light chocolate. Smells clean and dry. Flavors are well attenuated, dry, malty, dark fruits. Bitterness feels a touch too strong (given how dry it is), raisins, pitted fruit. Mild alcohol. Medium bubbles, fuller bodied with a dry finish.
