24/9/2020. Bottle from Craftbeer-Shop.com. Pours clear pale amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of hops, pine, caramel, fruit and grass. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. Just about the best of these 5 Union beers tried tonight.

Draught @ Union Brau, Bremen. Pours clear dark golden with a creamy offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, citrus, light grapefruit, little pine. Flavor is light bitter, malt, fruit, citrus, light piney. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. 120820

Bottle from the Elsfleth Hol-Ab. Amber with a sticky, frothy white head. Aroma full of lemon peel and oranges. Taste is mild bitter most of the way through, very dry at the end with the taste trending towards astringent. Could use a touch of malty sweetness to round it out. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Tap @ Craft Bier Bar, Hannover. Light hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - fruity and grapefruit. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Nice and fresh hoppy, which is perfect after spending a few days in Germany :-) 110417

0,33 l bottle. Pours with bright amber color and fat white head, which disappears within a minute.Very reluctant nose. some little citrus, some hops, slightly malt. Taste is bitter-hopy with a minimum of citrus fruit. Some dry cereals. Bitter finish.
