Bottle shared during Scopey’s 5K tasting - Croydon, London. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Kind of odd stuff, some dry pale bread in the aroma, a bit of citrus, hay. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Sweet on the finish with light graininess, bitter hay. Just OK.

Scopey 5K Tasting in deepest Croydonia. Thanks to Paul. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Light dry palate. Light pale malt, somewhat dry. Mild tangy hops, mild citric peel bitterness. Grapefruit and a little floralness. Light.dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle split at Scopey’s 5K Extravaganza of Oompah Band meets doorbell music, thanks to Don Paulo - 15/02/14. Lightly hazed pale golden with moderate off white spotting. Nose is tangy citrics, mandarin, touch of peach, a little dungy. Taste comprises mellow citrics, peach, grass, light bread dough. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi dry close. Decent enough offering.

Bottle shared at my 5K tasting. It pours clear amber with a medium beige head. The nose is earthy, musty, grain, cat litter and mild fruitiness. The taste is doughy, grain, earth, faint citrus, spice and light bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty so-so stuff unfortunately.

Bottle from Alesela, also 5.4%. Pours hazy gold, thick white head, couple of floaters, but could be user-error. Aromas of pear drops, cut grass, fresh oranges. Taste has a yeastiness, but good bitterness and boiled-sweet sweetness. Barley twists. Sweeter on the finish than I might like, but a good beer nevertheless.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of white sugar, lemon and pear drops. Unusual flavour of sweet candy, apple crumble and pear. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. A bit too sweet for my liking. This bottle was 5.4%.
