Peaches & Cream IPA!

Does exactly what it says on the tin! Peach flavours from, you guessed it, peaches! The cream comes from sweet, smooth lactose and the IPA from the bucket loads of Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe that compliment the sweet fruit flavours.

This collaboration brew with the guys from Urban Tap House Newport is a sweet treat that packs a punch!

Tap at Craft Room. Misty golden body with a creamy white head. Sweetish peach juice aroma, quite nice, completely dominant, all out "gusti sok". The taste... hmmm.... Overwhelming lactose mixed in with peach juice, with the hops just leaving a dulled-down herbal note and bitterness, that kinda clashes with the lacto. The girls at the table seemed to like it far more than the guys. Good beer, but not my cuppa tea.

On tap at Tipsy Toad Pub. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Juicy fruity aroma of peach and apricot, very ripe, or tinned in syrup. Sweet fruity flavour. A little artificial, syrup-like, even though I know it's natural hop flavour.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a creamy head. Mainly hoppy but its peach flavour is more than evident in its aroma.

From tap at Bootleggers Craft Beer Bar, Copenhagen. Clear golden. Dense and persistent white head and lacing. Strong aroma of peaches and peach juice. Similar taste, well balanced with citrus, American hops and bitterness. Fine drinkability.

Keg at Casc, Aberdeen. It pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, rather creamy, custard, tinned fruit, peach, apricot and boiled sweets. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, citrus peel, peppery spice, straw, grass, some underlying creamy sweetness and tinned peach with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit disjointed imo. Fun idea, but can’t say the balance works.
