500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, reddish amber colour with small, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Monotonous, mildly spicy aroma with notes of ginger. Taste is minimally sweet malty, slightly spicy and minimally citrusy hoppy, hints of ginger, a touch of bergamot and lemon, malty basis with a minimally nuttily touch; light and slightly watery. Skilfully crafted, well balanced, not overspiced, not hints of soapiness.

Bottle at home, 18/02/17. Clear golden copper with a decent off white head. Nose is ginger, spice, orange peel, straw, biscuit crunble. Taste comprises grains, ginger, peppery spice, straw, light bread, cheesecake base, fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style but as with most beers of this genre I wouldn’t bother to revisit.

Bottle shared at the London Brewers’ Market. Pours clear, rich gold with a mellow, white foam head. The aroma holds dry ginger, pale bread, little else. Light sweet flavour with some leafy hops, lightly toasted bread, earth, faint ginger spice. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and bitter in the finish, with notes of toasted grass, more pale grains. Very so so.
