Dark brown with a frothy, beige head. Aroma of roasted grains, ash, coffee, chocolate, amaretto. Taste is bittersweet with a noticeable berry tang at the end. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Straightforward. Not bad.

In der Nase Schokolade, im Trunk schön röstig, Espresso, leicht süß, sehr gut trinkbar, hinten leicht trocken. Gutes Ding.

Das Wochenende startet mit diesem pechschwarzen Porterbier, das mir wirklich gut gefallen hat. Es wird mit den namensgebenden 6 Malzsorten gebraut und schafft wunderbar den Spagat zwischen süßer Malzigkeit und schokoladig-herber Porternoten. Ein harmonisches Miteinander, das mit einem leicht kaffee-igen Ton abgeht. Ein Bier, das man gerne wieder trinkt.

Bottle, drunk after the 5th time failing to photograph Neowise at 400mm due to low clouds on the horizon. Very dark brown with a light brown head. Chocolate roast nose with a hint of sweetness. Flavor is smooth, almost like a milk stout, lightly hopped and very tasty & drinkable.

Sehr malzig, mit deutlichen Kaffeenoten und etwas Kakao. Eine leicht säuerliche Note bildet den Gegenpol. Die bitteren Noten kommen scheinbar hauptsächlich vom stark gerösteten Malz, weniger vom Hopfen. Nicht so viel Substanz, daher wird es geschmacklich nicht zu extrem und das Bier bleibt sehr süffig. Nicht sehr viel Kohlensäure und dadurch wunderbar weich. Ja, sehr robuste Vorstellung - der Name passt also gut zu diesem Bier.

Bottle. Dark brown color with creamy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee. Taste is chocolate, coffee, a little bit sour in the end. Silky mouthfeel, quite light, very low carbonation. I liked it, very easy to drink even if a bit too sweet, I would drink more.
