Sweet, stingy and earthy with some cardboard and boozy notes. Not very good.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark blond colour, chill haze. Decent malt liquor, not so boozy, with softness added by the barrel; there's some good malt in the back, and it reaches points that taste almost like rum.
Good.

Pale amber, slight haze. The aroma has some of that bubblegum I don't want, and a bit of caramel. Crackery on the palate, sort of a caramel and alcohol thing. Definitely lots of caramel. So it does come across like an odd barrel-aged malt liquor.

750mL bottle, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gasoline, alcohol, light Belgian yeast, and a touch of floral notes. Flavour is confused, with booze, estery floral notes, grass, and herbal notes. Strong fusel alcohols on the finish. Not a disaster, but quite chaotic and lacking precision. Not great.

Decent beer. Maybe a bit to much whiskey Clear deep golden pour and a fine head Ok intensity in the aroma Tad sweet and moderate bitterness Fine carbonation level. Some boozy notes. Whiskey, oak, mild smoked, malty and caramel flavor [Bottle at Kokkekollektivet in Halden, Norway]
