Inspired by a mind blowing dessert created by a Nordic eatery that popped up in the middle of the Mexican jungle. Pasilla mixe chiles, honey, cocoa nibs and tangerine peel. It’s wild. Oh yeah, baby.

Can shared in London - cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Medium sweet flavour, some booze, torched caramel, wood, earth. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Hot finish, bittersweet chocolate, more burnt wood. Solid.

Craft Islington bottleshare. A Wingman can, cheers! Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft smooth dark malts, nice creamy sweetness. Trace of spirits. Little tangy dark fruits, very mild. Mild spice. Light semi dry finish. Easy drinking for the style.

Gift from Roman makes up for the dead one from Tavour which I deleted now, previously a 1.5 with no spice, now it's got nice spice I can drink all day with a smokey nose and front which overpowers the rest of the nose a bit, wish for more chocolate.

Can. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Very dark, chestnut brown. Foam of tan mousse, recedes to a film. Nose has burnt, bitter caramel. Fruity, dark chocolate. Smells like a Cadbury Crunchie. Some vegetal notes, too. Taste is burnt bitterness. Fairly dry. Barely noticeable chilli heat. Medium body. Certainly doesn’t feel the ABV. Low carbonation. More burnt bitterness to finish, with some sticky sweetness on the lips.

Can 355ml @ home
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, cocoa, alcohol and hint of chipotle chilies. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, roasted, licorice, chocolate, cocoa and a faint hint of chili spice. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Stas & Max. Black, tan foam. Tangerine, roast, coffee, chocolate, sweet, hot chili. Too hot, not my thing.

From a 355ml can on 6/8/2018. Pours near black with a big tan head. Has a quite strong, distinct and pleasant orange/tangerine and chocolate nose. It's also chock full of flavour - lots of chocolate, cocoa and citrus sweetness, a good dash of honey, and just a touch of mild chili. I tend to be wary of chili beers, as they often go a bit too hard on the heat. Not this one - the chili serves to balance the other flavours beautifully. Full bodied with moderate to average carbonation. This is lovely stuff, with the disparate flavours really well integrated. A delicious, jaffa-like beer with a slight but welcome kick. Horribly under-rated on here imo. A fair bit better that the ET Even More Pecan PIe Jesus I had the other day (which was pretty good).
