Bottle from Queen City on 02/07/2009. Clear dark brown body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy off-white head. Caramel and dark malt aroma. Sweet caramel flavor, some nutty hints, and a bit of extract twang with some slight hop bitterness lingering in the background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Twelve ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear brownish red color with a large head. Good head retention and average lacing. Earthy almost peat-like aroma with some caramel notes. Taste is leafy hops with an earthy and sweet malt character in the back half. Medium bodied. Nice beer.
