22 ounce bottle. 2013 vintage. 11.25 % ABV. Pours dark amber color with a creamy beige head. Rich toasted malt aroma with notes of vanilla, slight oak, burnt caramel and dark fruit. Intense bittersweet toasted malt flavor has hints of burnt sugar, currants, roasted beets and vanilla. Big cloying, chewy mid taste. Finish is bitter and dry, long and spicy.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe, pours a hazy dark amber with medium off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, woody oak, and still loads of hops detectable. Flavour is quite complex, full of toasted caramel, quite a bit of the oak, and lots of hops. Loads of depth in here, with the toasted oak adding a wonderful element on this. Excellent stuff - even better than the base beer.

On tap at PIB, pours a hazy amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma of wood chips, caramel, and still quite a big punch. Flavour brings out loads of wood chips, caramel, and piney hops. A nice mix of wood and hops, with a solid caramel malt backbone. Very solid stuff.

From Hennie’s cellar. The malt is strong with this one. Not a barrel monster, the aroma has caramel. Full Bodied, Malty flavour with what I can only call oakey stripes. Long lasting finish some citrus

holy crap, this is easily the most complex and strongest bodied beer i have ver had, like the label says, you are not worthy. i was wiuse enough to take all night with this one, not because of the abv, which i can hande, but because of the flavor, drink this too fast and it will become too much for my palate. high hoppiness of the stone trademark, with a buttery maltiness, and ending with the oak smokiness. unbelievable beer that doesnt come around very often. would love to see the typical proud bud drinker take a taste of this and see their face! hilarious.

On tap, listed as 2006 French Oaked Double Bastard. Pours with a huge, fluffy, off-white head and a hazed amber body. Amazing lace. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, toffee, vanilla and oak. Taste is cotton candy, fruit, oak, toffee and light flan. Nicely aged. Syrupy mouthfeel, delicious!
