Draft - hazy light gold - medium-heavy and fairly sweet maibock - flavors of honey, kind of heavy yeastiness, a bit of bright fruity character - lightens up through the middle, and some floral bitterness develops, that becomes a little soapy in the finish - okay.

Sample at the 1st annual Columbus Beerfest on 05/28/10: Pours a bright golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with notes of yeast and fruit. Medium body with flavors of fruit, yeast and sweet bready malt. The finish is fruity with a lingering malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft at the 2009 beer fest in Manheim PA. Filtered golden yellow, standard Heller Bock look. Thick and full of Spaten yeast flavor, quite nice. Rich, with a touch of noticeable alcohol that goes along with the malt liquor aroma. Old school, but very well done. Mild, distant hop balance.

Pretty decent aroma of malt. Flavor of some malt, grain, and a nice sweet taste. Can’t really complain.

A very light golden bock. Flavor was sweet with a slight hops kick, followed by a bitter aftertaste. Tasty, but not exemplary.
