Back to the stouts and porters after finishing my Christmas ales. A very tasty plum porter. Bought from The Beer Shop, Heaton Moor, drank at home.

Pours a dark brown colour with an average sized frothy beige head that slowly settled. Aroma is fruity and roasted, plenty of plum, with some roasted malts, and a hint of liquorice. A moderately sweet taste, sour plum offsets some of the sweetness, dark roasted malt flavours with a tart plum finish.

28/5/2022. Bottle from Raise The Bar, Chapel en le Frith shared at the Prague GP beer share. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is plummy, chocolate, roasted malt, sloeberries. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly oily and watery, average carbonation. Lacked a bit of body but otherwise very nice.

Bottle courtesy of Isobel (cheers Isobe) consumed at home, Sunday 11th November 2018 having just eaten Bobotie and also a Leek and Potato Soup for tomorrow. Pours black or thereabouts with a light beige head, soft in the mouth, the plum extract is good, just the right side of sweet v tangy. A little powdery finish, it's smooth and soft, it's a good beer. On handpull cask at Steel City Beer Festival 2018 - Cloudy cola looking body, very little head. Nose solid and fruity, plums all the way. Little bit of smoke there too. Taste sweet fruity, little chocolate notes. Holds up despite appearance and watery mouthfeel.
