Hypothesis

Hypothesis is a big stout that concentrates on the roasted and chocolate flavours coming from the deceptively simple malt bill. Bittered with the clean Magnum and finished with English hops to add balance through spicy bitterness.

CBJ tasting. Bottle. Clear deep brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth airy palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Papery dark malts, aged tasting. A little boxy dark chocolate. Some ripe fruits. Light and semi dry finish. Hard to like. Dry and aged tasting without ever being terrible.
