Big beige head. Opaque black body. Earthy roasty mealy aroma with chocolatey notes. Dry, and very faintly acidic, roasty earthy taste with burnt mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry perfumy roasty burnt aftertaste with chocolatey burnt toast and herbal notes. It’s quite nice, but very dry and austere. (0.5l bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Strømmen. Batch #1520453.)

500 ml bottle, batch 1520453, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate but lasting beige head. Moderately roasty and dryish aroma, notes of woodwork and coffee, a hint of liquorice. Dry roasty flavour, mild coffee, some wood, moderate bittering hops in the finish. Easy drinking.
