Created in East Sussex in the 1970’s Banoffee Pie went on to become a global dessert appearing in restaurants and kitchens around the world. We knew that the instantly recognisable taste would be a perfect match for our imperial stout! Pardus is a powerful beer with great toasty tones and treacle notes, making for a perfect foundation to complement the rich banana and toffee sweetness. It makes no apologies for it’s lack of subtlety and every mouthfeel is packed with flavour.

20/6/2023. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, banana, coffee, roasted malt, biscuit. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, creamy, average to soft carbonation. Slightly chalky finish. Good.

Can at home, from Thornbridge online, 28/02/23. Black with a good sized khaki head. Nose is chocolate, sweet malts, banana milkshake, caramel, light roasted tones. Taste comprises caramel shortbread, banana chews, light roast, dark malts, pinch of spice, cocoa powder. Medium bodied with bite, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Decent fun pastry affair ... keeps a good bitter sweet balance and pulls of its name rather well.

Can, long lasting thick creamy bubbly head, opaque black colour, banana and caramel upfront, not too bitter dark chocolate behind, also some toffee and fudge, light to medium sweetness. Smooth and highly sippable, really good.

Can picked up from Beyondbeer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Sunday 31st July 2022 we had Kofta b'siniyah and Pomegranate, Cucumber and Pistachio salad with Cracked Potatoes and Coriander listening to Katy J Pearson - Saturday Morning and also YardAct- Overlord. Very soft and creamy moutheel, colour is black with a large cappuccino coloured head. The cappuccino theme is sort of repeated as their is some coffee in the mouth, it's a little bit sweet with a yesteryear kids sweet feel to it, toffee and banana candy sweets. Good.

Foamy light brown head stayed on a dark brown body. Banana, vanilla & lactose aroma. Medium bodied, super smooth with a foamy back & clean dry aft. Banana, malt, burnt, roasted, vanilla & lactose tastes with a peppery finish. Really nice beer.

440ml can from Thornbridge Beer Club - Deep muddy brown coloured body, fine off white to tan head that stays. Nose is caramel forward, quite sweet like toffee, and obviously bananas. Sweet roasty notes at the back of the taste, but nicely cloying with the banoffee pie thing going on, bit of burnt golden syrup there as well. Nice mouthfeel, more sticky than oily, goes down too well. Pardus VI, up there with the crème brûlée version for me.

Sample from a can, courtesy of Luke at Beer Stop Dronfield. Cheers! Deep brown verges on black. Fine tan head. Nose has caramelised toffee. Banana loaf. Brûlée. Dark roast malt. Taste has some sweetness but is mostly pretty bitter and roasty. Sticky on the palate with soft carbonation. Moderate to full bitterness to finish. Decent. Not too bonkers on the banana.
