Cask stillage at the Solihull CAMRA festival 2014. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, yeast, zesty citrus light aniseed. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light zesty sherbet citrus malt light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Three Legged Mare, York. Pours near black, red tinged. Off-white head. Aromas of liquorice, orange peel, mixed dried fruit. Taste had a decent hop bitterness counteracting the malt sweetness. Good. Made a nice change from the near-constant same-old blondes & bitters.

Gravity dispense from the cellar at the Merchants Inn, Rugby - 12/12/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a very thin tan head that quickly escapes to the edge and forms a small pond before departing the building all together. Nose is liqourice, light soapiness, touch of hops and fruit. Taste comprises hops, some pine, dark malts, liqourice, tar, dark sugars, orange peel, leather. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Drinkable enough stuff!
