Bottle 0,33l. Dark ruby brown with a creamy tanned head. Smell of caramel. Sweet aroma. A bit light bodied. A shortlived aftertaste leaving you with an perfumed impression.

Small, tan head with coarse lace over clear dark brown body. Aroma is light and sweet; not very strong. Taste is clean, light, not too powerful. Malty, with quite a bit of roastiness; roastiness grows more pronounced in aftertaste, which also has nice, rounded bitterness. A well-made beer, but not very exciting.

Bottle. Dark copper with off-white head. A disappointing aroma, mostly light malty. More interesting flavour, with roasted elements and some licorice that hides in the background. There’s also caramel in the flavour. Nice hops towards the end. (050929)

(Bottle 50 cl) With typical German flair for pretty names this is renamed "Staropramen - das Prager Schwarzbier" at 4,6% ABV. Very classical dark lager with a reddish tint. Limited head and a lightly smoked edge from the dark malts. Soft with a limited bitterness. Pleasant and easy to drink. I’ve also had this named "Staropramen Cerný" and "Staropranen Dark Prague Beer" at 4,4% ABV. 210499/190502/180904

Dark brown color, mahogany hue. Weak aroma: some caramel and some roasted malt. Simple flavor, with loads of caramel, a touch of roasted malt, a bit metallic; high bitterness.

Dark brown (Coca Cola) body with a medium lasting beige head. Roast malt and caramel aroma. Flavour is also dominated by malt, but with a clear hop presence.
