22 oz. bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet cereal malts, some grass, and subtle floral notes. Flavour brings out grassy hops, some sweet cereal notes, and a little biscuity malt. Some sparkling water on the finish. Quite hoppy and dry. Decent pils, but I don't understand the high ratings for this.

Bottle @ home picked up for $6 / 6 pack. Pours a clear golden appearance with a frothy, khaki head. Hay, a little dusty, chalky, grassy nose with some citrus in the background. Moderate low sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Pretty clean. A bit of corn. Pretty grassy. Light pine. Somewhat herbal. Fine session rew.

22oz bottle labeled as Cascade Pilsner Crystal clear bright light yellow. Very big firm bright white head. Light grain malt aroma. A touch of sweetness, honey and some dish soap. Mild light malt flavors. Very subtle hop bite. Not much of that classic noble bitterness. Mild and smooth and very drinkable.

Bottle from a six pack - it doesn’t say "26th Anniversary," but it does say "Cascade Pilsner" and is the same abv, so I assume it is the same beer - fairly lifeless pour, with no head or lace to speak of - this ain’t no pils - if Imwere rating strictly to style, it would score pretty low - too high in alcohol, too hefty, and quite hoppy on the tail end, which I wouldn’t mind so much if it were noble hops, but these cascades, I’m sorry, they don’t really work - this tastes more like one of those "India pale lagers" that breweries have been making lately - as one of those, I suppose it is okay - the malt structure is clean and simple, albeit a bit sweet - there is a fairly strong mineral bite through the middle that becomes a little strong (like limestone) - strong cascade flavor in the finish - it’s not completely unenjoyable, but even not as a pils it has its drawbacks.

This was poured into a pilsener.
The appearance was a golden orange color with a decent transparency about it showing streams of carbonation rising at a moderate pace. Dat head! Wow, it must have lasted a good three minutes before it wanted to die. Once it did, the lacing wove around the glass in a semi - soapy thick foaminess.
The smell started off with a grassy / hay- like aroma leading into a light earthy hops. There’s a nice light sweet German malty lead in that was really nice.
The taste was sticky grassy sweet - slightly lip smacking but that’s okay, it just shows how fresh this is.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed a bit smoother than other pilseners I’ve had. Light sharpness does hit the tongue in a good way.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Pilsener. I can’t tell if it leans closer to the German or Czech side, all I can tell you is that it doesn’t really matter to me that much other than I would have this again.
