Cask at the Waterworks, Rye. Poured almost black with little life. The aroma is roasted malt, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, creamy, chocolate, light coffee, roasty, light liqourice, light vanilla palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Half-pint on cask at Euston Tap. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass, upper part lacing from a disappearing fawn-coloured head. Roasted black malty nose. Rather sweet taste of chocolate, milk lactose beneath. A coffee note to a sweet malt-driven finish. Quite well made stout for the low abv. (London 22.11.2021).

Delt med Rune. Svart. Skumring med litt farge. Aroma av melkesjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken søt sjokolade. Lett tørr kakaoettersmak.

330 ml can, from Seven Cellars. ABV is 4.1%. Black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee and dark chocolate, hints of lactose. Light bodied as expected. Refreshing flavour with a slight fruitiness, otherwise the same elements as in the aroma, not too sweet. Moderate hops.

Pours black, creamy, médium sized mocha colored head. Smell is rich, bit coffee, mild on the lactose. Taste is roasty, coffee, bit bitter undertone. Creamy, lactic ( recognizable, but not overpowering), very mild carbonation. Mouthfeel is rather creamy, which is very nice concidering the abv.

Cask at Kings Arms Waterloo. Pitch black, shiny, with a thick low head. Milk chocolate / cocoa nose. Rich. Flavor is cocoa, milk, light vanilla, a touch of woody roast. Rather thin body. Light apple notes. Decent.
