Dark and delicious, a rich jet black milk stout made with a combination barley, oats, wheat and roasted chocolate malts. The result is a satisfying balance of coffee, vanilla and chocolate notes and a full malt base. One to be savoured.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A cola coloured pour with a fast fading coffee coloured head; aroma of chocolate and coffee; very thin in the mouth with a silky feel, but also quite lively on the tongue, tasting of deeply roast malts with some coffee grounds and brown sugar; and a lingering coffee finish. Needs more body.

Big thick foamy light brown head on this one. Smells of toasty malt and lactose. Coffee, toasty malt and some dark chocolate and a little vanilla coming through as well. I might have guessed the ABV from the body which is a little on the thin side but definitely not from the strength of flavour and good, lasting finish.

330ml can: BB 23rd Oct 19. Poured into my lovely 'Gordons' thistle shaped glass at home on 20th July 19. Viscous pour, black bodied, tanned foaming top. Vanilla and chocolate esters fill the nose, the taste also full of those flavours, some mild coffee notes too. Nice!

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of roasted malt bitterness. Also sweetness and nuttiness. Sweet boiled peas. Slight caramel. Smooth bodied.
