Heavy on the rye, no carbonation. A little extreme for me but it’s nice.

Közepes, nem túl tartós hab, majdnem fekete, sötétbarna szín. Kellemesen melengető, kávés, kakaós, vaníliás, aszalt szilvás illat. Kávés, kakaós, csokis, karamellás, malátás, vaníliás ízek, némi aszalt szilvával. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Isteni.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 31/03/2025.
Light black with a khaki cap that veers to the edge.
Nose is coffee grinds, spice, dark malts, brown sugar melt, dried fruit rinds.
Taste comprises more coffee up front, spice, dark malts, toffee, brown sugars, fruit rinds.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced punch of alcohol.
Okay sipper if a little 1D ... very much a hybrid veering into the world of impy stout ... not sure I'd necessarily have picked this out as a barley wine blind!

Can. Near clear dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, good cocoa dusted dark chocolate. Vanilla intersects well with and produces a little milk chocolate. Seems to be a trace of coconut from somewhere. Soft coffee on the back end. Light finish. A tasty and drinkable beer but, one of these black barleywines that is hard to distinguish from an Impy. If you were handed this at a tasting and told it was an Impy, would you know otherwise?

Canned 330ml. -at Goblet Zagreb. Blackish coloured, minimal brownish head that went away immidately, coffee and chocolate in the nose. Ground coffee, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa and mild ashy with noticable alcohol. Warming finish.

Can via Zil verne. Full body, light carbonation. High sweetness and bitterness, shitloads of chocolate, but even more coffee. Coffee on top of everything, mostly pleasant, only a hint of burnt. Overall quite intense. I do not get the vanilla, which is good, less is more with this spice. Overall feeling is maybe a bit plain, but elegant, rich, intense. Very good.
