Cask at the Murderers, Norwich. Mid gold, flat with no head. Malty scent with some basic earthy hop. Sweet taste with more than a hint of sulphur. Easy bitter finish. Pleasant but not a lot to it if truth be told.

Cask, Ship Inn, Shalesmoor, Sheffeld. Clear, amber colour. Thin, tight, off white head. Soft, sugary malts. Light, herby, grassy hop. Taste is soft, spicy bitter. Sticky lippage. Feels a bit sugary. Minimal bitterness on the finish.

Cask @ Victorian Beer Cafe, Halifax. Amber with a small glow and a thinnish head. Crisp with a small hoppy dryness and some malts in its nose, not too flavoursome.

On tap at Cherry Red Cafe, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, with English hops and candied syrup. Flavour is around the same, with dead English hops and some light fruitiness. Pleasant enough but not so intriguing. Okay.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival Saturday 28th February 2015. Pale gold with white head, another very good looking beer from XT. Refreshing pleasant bitter beer, easy drinking, fruity. Lacks a little bit of body but to be fair it’s a session IPA and I guess in that sense it works pretty well and ticks the boxes. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3
