American IPA. Lots of people tell us how important hops are in beer but we prefer to take a more holistic approach and we think the malt has an equally important role to play even in a "hop forward" style such as this. So expect a solid base with a hint of toffee, weight of alcohol with elements of grapefruit, pine and peach in the aroma.

A bit too earthy for me. Needs tweaking. Just a sample on Sunday. Peppery finish too.

Keg at Eebria, 11/03/17. Rich amber to orange with a decent off white head. Nose is orange peel, light spice, toasted grains, soft bread, melon. Taste comprises caramel, bitter orange, straw, grains, light spice, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a dose of hop bitterness. Ok IPA ... serviceable but lower down the pecking order in terms of the drinkers choice in this style.

Craft (not in) St Mary’s Axe. Keg. A pint. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has a fine crispness. Light malts, sweetish. Orange peel dominates a little fresh orange. Mild hop spice and a whisper of tropical fruits. Dry finish. Orange peel bitter linger. Very serviceable and drinkable IPA.

Bottle shared with JMD at HND 19.03.17. Cloudy amber. Off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of caramel, graefruit and lime. Decent aftertaste, with citrus bitterness. The taste combination of toffee and grapefruit rarely comes well through.
