Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours clear red-orange with a frothy off-white head. He nose has toasted bread, smoked ham, nips of toffee. Medium sweet flavor with more Lilly toasted malts, ham, smoke, toffee, honey. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Sweet finish, more ham, smoke, toffee, bread. Smooth and easy. Nice smoke character.

Bottle split at LKS, 07/01/16. Rich chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is smoked malt, toffee, biscuit, earthy fruit, tobacco. Taste comprises smoked malt, toffee, smoked meats, spice, biscuit crumble, dates. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation but aids drinkability, drying close. Decent enough smoked affair.

On tap at St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium off white bubbly head on top. Smoky, malty aroma. Tastes smoky, malty, hint of dark fruit. Not a bad effort.
