Bottle split at LKS, 07/01/16. Rich chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is smoked malt, toffee, biscuit, earthy fruit, tobacco. Taste comprises smoked malt, toffee, smoked meats, spice, biscuit crumble, dates. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation but aids drinkability, drying close. Decent enough smoked affair.

On tap at St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium off white bubbly head on top. Smoky, malty aroma. Tastes smoky, malty, hint of dark fruit. Not a bad effort.
