Good lager, malty and indulgent without growing cloy, offering up equal notes of caramel, sweet grain, orange zest, white bread, and a boozy undercurrent. Clove and vanilla show up in the middle. Finishes yeasty with a gentle floral bitterness. Very Americanized version of the style, but also very drinkable.

16 oz. can. Thanks, Tim! Pours a clear, amber color, with a big, fluffy, white head. The nose is raw grains, pine sap, dust, orange peel, and rye. Sweet and yeasty, with a beautiful, mellow bitterness. Easy and exactly what a good maibock should be. Thoroughly enjoyable.
