Pours a typical gold-amber from a bottle. Nose of dankness, BO. Flavor of peaches, pot, wildflowers, in that order. Initial floral sweetness quickly turns rather bitter. Also extremely boozy tasting, even though higher gravity beers often aren’t this boozy. I thought it was BA or something too, but no. Okay beer.

The Travlr tasting at ChrisO’s. Thanks to Gene for all the beers and Chris for hosting. Cheers to Leighton for this one. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Light creamy malts, thin but sweet. Light lemony bitterness, floral lemon. Little citric peel bitterness. Airy finish. Lemony linger. Sorachi hops in a DIPA - oh yeah!

Bottle split at Travlr tasting @ Chriso, thanks to LKS, 30/09/15. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is pissy tropicana, mandarin, pink grapefruit, juicy hop resonance. Taste comprises mandarin, punchy tropical fruit, straw, melon balls, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppy scrub. Decent enough DIPA.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s Travlr last minute tasting. Huge thanks to Leighton for this one. Nice translucent yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is big, lemon floral, dank, sticky hop. Flavour is Base grains, light lemon, good funky sorachi ace character, little grassy. Aggressive good solid hop bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, sticky hop, highish carbonation. Love it really good sorachi ace character.

Bottle shared in London at chriso’s. Pours hazy gold with a frothy white head. The nose has a lot of juicy peach, tangerine, piss, doughy wheat. Medium sweet flavor with lots of dank, juicy citrus, light piney bitterness, lemon rind, pee, husky hay. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some booze, wheat bread, mild bitter hay, orange rind, tangerine. Very tasty stuff.

650 ml bottle that willrunforbeer shared, thanks bud. Fresh bottle with a date of August, 2015. Mostly clear gold with thin head in a snifter. Aroma is light tropical fruit, herbal hints with a light citrus rind, pith notes.
Kind of an oxymoron with the " Pre Prohibition" Double IPA title! There was not a Double IPA then! Ha ha ha funny shit. Grain base with light pale malts giving weak balance. The bittering hops giving a lasting effect but it’s more like bitterness for the sake of being bitter rather than a whole lot of actual hop flavor. Maybe light pine, borderline astringent. However, interesting only takes a beer so far. Nothing off putting so I would say give it a try but not anything to get real excited for.

Pours gold into a snifter. White head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface leaving spot lacing. Caramel, citrus and meringue aromas. Medium bodied with hot caramel and tropical fruit skin front go back.
