On a voyage to blend exploration and tradition, we brewed a Milkshake Pale Ale borne on gentle breezes carrying hints of vanilla, young oak and rich pineapple. Brewed with Experimental Hop HBC 692, this golden nectar features a velvety, full bodied texture that is bouyed by subtle sweetness with a long, tropical finish.

12 oz. bottle from Orem, Utah State liquor store. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small off white head and good retention. Small spots of lacing. Hops and citrus aroma. Mostly bitter hops flavor up front, with the citrus/ pineapple flavor in the finish. I'm not getting any coconut flavor. The lactose addition helps soften the bitterness. Still, it has more pale ale taste than fruit beer. Medium body. The 7.0% ABV is very well hidden. Okay for what it is.

12oz bottle picked up at the state store. Pours cloudy orange with a medium sized white head that dissipates quickly to a small head, good lacing. Pineapple, vanilla, lactose, lemon peel. Tasty but wouldn't want to drink more than one.
