Tap sample at PINT Winterbierfestival ’16. Black, no head. Aroma of liquorice, laurel, ash, yeast, light earthy, roasted malts, cold coffee. Flavour is ashy, bitter, herbal, yeasty, light earthy, roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, bitter finish. Medium bodied at best. Kaapse version was a bit better.

Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2016. Gedeeld met de ratebeer clan! zwart en nagenoeg kraagloos, aroma van koffie en geroosterde en gebrande mout, lichte vanille. smaken zijn matig zoet, hout, geroosterde en gebrande mouten, glad/olieachtige textuur maar ook wat aan de dunne kant, verder wat van laurier (in een stout?), matige body, lage co2, niet bijzonder.
