330 ml bottle from Kill the cat, London. Clear golden body with a big, creamy off-white head. Quite strong aroma of fruit, grapefruit, malt and soap. Flavor is sweet malt, mature fruit, berries, marmalade and good fruity bitterness. Medium body and fruity bitter aftertaste. A fine rather classic IIPA with a hoppy twist.

Keg at The Pint Shop, Oxford, Wednesday 25th January 2017 prior to The Blue Aeroplanes gig at The Cellar, Oxford. Pours warm gold, warming in the mouth, the alcohol is noticeable but certainly doesn’t burn. It’s a touch resiny and marmalade also floods through. Soft in the mouth, really juicy, citrussy, this is lovely. Great. A7 A4 T8 P5 Ov15 3.9

Bottle (thanks to my wife). 8%. Somewhat dirty orange with a large white head. Orange and grapefruit aroma with overdone marmalade -like caramelisation. Lowish carbonation, verging upon syrupy. Big brooding citrus, some herbal notes, lot of singed toffee notes. Medium high bitterness. Good intense flavours, just a little heavy.

Cask at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours hazy deep orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, sticky, very juicy, mango, sherbet, nectarine and sherbet. The taste is bitter-sweet, oily, resinous, oily, grapefruit, peppery spice, alcohol heat and some dank grassy notes with a dry, warming finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slight stickiness. Juicy aroma stands out. A touch sticky perhaps. Would like to try this on keg...

Light haze on this deep reddish amber beer, small cream colour head. Nose of tropical fruits. Smooth palate, semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Smooth malts with a trace of caramelly sweetness. Small pinch of hop spice. Light skunky tropical fruits. Passion fruit and mango to the fore. Smooth minty coolness. Smooth and semi dry finish. Nice.
