The brett hasn’t made this a sour beer, it’s rounded off, given a great aroma, with a sweet cherry pie flavour. The mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, prickly and very drinkable.

Bottle that Ian Harrisoni passed on, I've sat on this for a year or two but cheers my friend! Consumed at home, Attenkirchen, Saturday 5th October 2019 making a Chicken Jalfrezi with Spiced Potato Tikkis and Cumin Rice and listening to Craig Charles 'Funk and Soul', 6 Music. Black on the pour, the light beige head slowly subsides. Lovely mouthfeel, a very slight touch of sour, but cocoa, tar, soft liquorice and a sublime light boozyness that runs up the nostrils, *more educated folk than I, say retronasal, I feel a bit cheeky saying that when it's a word not really in my vocabulary. A little boozy plum, yea this is great Ian, cheers.

8/10/16: Weird and awesome. Old leather, brett, creamy. Chocolate, dried fruit. So very interesting.

9/2/23: Bottled 18jun13. Pours pretty slow. Black, small light tan head. Smells great bretty, old leather, roast, molasses. Thick, smooth and heavy. Taste is bitter, roast, strong. Lingers a great oily bitterness for days. Leathery, funky brett, almost tobacco.
