Draught @ CBC 2016, Copenhagen. Pours deep red with a tiny head. Aroma of beetroot, tartness and mild sourish notes. Taste is smooth, slightly tart and earthy with loads of beetroot. Finish is tart and funky with some berries and loads of beetroot. A bit strange.

Tap@ CBC 2016. Pinkish red color, thin pink head. Red beets totally dominating the aroma. Certainly different. Bert’s dominates in flavor as well, tartish.

Draught @ All In Beer Fest 2015. Pours insane blood red with a huge bright purple head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick sticky lacing on the glass. Smell is earthy and tiny fruity with crackers, sweet beetroots, lemon juice, yoghurt, moist soil, hay and lemon zest. Taste is sour, vegetal and nutty. Mouthfeel is dry, tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is sour with crackers, lemon juice, lime juice, beetroots, yoghurt, moist soil, hazelnuts, hay and lemon zest. Really cool beer. Insane apperance and a high quality berliner. Beetroot is intense and quite good. Not sure it could be better but it’s still beetroot and I’m not sure I want it to dominate my beer.
