Belgian White Ale with a twist. Tangerine added instead of dried orange peel. A treat for all seasons, if you want a “wheat” beer– order it up my friends.

On tap @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. A massive head on this. The barkie had to struggle to get it in my glass. Looks alright with a deep blurry golden looking body and as mentioned the head is really big, lasting, white in color and lacing. Sweetish wheat aroma. Some cardboard and oranges. Mild for a wit. A bit mild in the taste also. Light oppvaskmiddel / detergent bitterness, wheat, grains and a light acidic citrus zesty sting. It has a light oily mouthfeel and a just above average carbonation level. It kinda gets to soapy bitter for a wit this. Not bad tasting it anything, but I like my wits a bit sweeter and more "spicy" if you like. 09.11.2013

Reviewed from notes. Consumed June 2013 at the brewery.
The appearance had a hazy yellow body with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates and concaves within a minute leaving some nice clingy foamy lacing gracing the sides of the glass.
The smell had a spicy and yeasty up front with some nice citrusy tones backing that up, coriander is slightly there.
The taste was spicy and yeasty again with a nice wheat back up, dry sweet yet citrus aftertaste and a dry yeasty finish.
The palate sat about a light to medium, slightly sessionable - seems like it should be more due to the low ABV, but there seems to be something that makes it feel beefed up a bit - hmmm.... I like it. Carbonation is adequately felt for the style and for me.
Overall, well, I say this is good for the style and good for me, I’d have it again.

Sample at the brewpub, listed as "Wit" at 5.5% but no mention of Tangerine (nor on the website). The beer pours a hazy bright orange color with a medium white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Light body with flavors of zesty citrus, wheat, spices and malt. The finish is fruity with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle that is 4 years out of date! Hazy amber beer. Softish palate and a little dry. Very slightly sour. Soft wheaty malt foundation overlaid by well judged and fresh (fresh??!) tasting tangerine. A little carbonated bite towards the end. A bit different, tasty and refeshing. Also does not taste out of date at all! The bottle said that honey and oats are additional ingredients.

Poured up on tap at the Kuhnhenn brewpub with light copper body and full size off white head. The aroma is full on banana, cloves and bubble gum with a mild rauch like sense followed by a citrus note that is likely the tangerine treatment. The taste is a mix of citrusy tangerine and banana as well as loads of cloves and yeastiness. The tangerine doesn’t seem to paly well with the banana/bubble gum/clove trio.
