New look, same fresh taste. One of the all-time highest rated IPAs on RateBeer, AleSmith IPA is a west coast-style India pale ale icon. Bursting with massive hop aromas of grapefruit, pine, and tropical fruits from huge additions of Columbus and Citra, this classic IPA is perfectly balanced by a healthy malt backbone and smooth, bitter finish.

It is a nice IPA with the American knowledge with bitterness, grapefruit and citrus, malt and refreshing, nice touch of hop at the tongue, drinking it at the pibar, Lausanne with Raoul or Agocs, year 2015 or 2016

Bottked. Light orange ambeer clear pour. Soft pillowish head that leaves a trail. Strong floral aromatics, light malt and caramewl - nice hops bite but super dry finish. Really well crafted and delicate for a powerfully good example of the style

Can from Beer Republic. Clear golden-amber, stable, foamy, white head. Aroma of pine resin, cheese rind, sweat, onion, grapefruit, green olive, melon, biscuit, peanut. Taste has sweetish melon, unripe pear & apricot in a biscuity malt body, surrounded by dank onion & cheese. Piney & resinous hops in the finish with a more pronounced grapefruit and citrus peel bitterness, bit spicy & dank. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. You could drinks kegs of it. Great!

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Aroma is intensely hoppy with lots of tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine resin, citrus, malt, tangerine, and a touch of caramel. Flavour is light sweet with a long bitter finish. Body is medium. Flawless, amazing IPA, at least as good as Sculpin.

Tight white head left s good cover on a hazy dark copper coloured still body. Pine, stewed fruit, sweaty socks, peach & caramel. Medium bodied with a slight tickle over the tongue & softer cloying back. Well balanced tastes of malt, biscuit, pine, grapefruit, hops, resin & caramel with long tangy pithy finish

February 2015: 650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.25%. Golden colour, only slightly hazy. Large white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, notes of pine, caramel and grapefruit. Lovely and well balanced hoppy flavour, pine needles and grapefruit again, not extreme - just very well made.
