32oz growler pours with a clear amber body that has golden hues and supports a full tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy hops, spicy licorice, smooth molasses, dark brown sugar and then a bit of roasted malts. The taste spicy hops, a sliver of onion like hoppy dankness and then smooth soft molasses, a thin sweet fruity ester sensation and a blend of brown sugar, toffee and spicy sort of candy sugar. I’m not sure the words express how well this is actually working. Toward the finish it gets a thin layer of sweet breadiness too. Pretty cool experience and a tasty sipper.

Review from notes, sampled 2/23/2008 Received this in trade from jaustin72403 Thanks for the opportunity. Pours a solid brown with ruby highlights when held up to the light. This off white head that dissipates quickly but laces the glass on the way down. Aroma is piney citrusy grapefuity hops with some caramel malt in there too. Taste follows the smell but adds a sharp rye twang to it. Hop bitterness hangs in there long after each sip. Great brew, I really enjoyed it.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a dark amber, shiney, with almost no head. Has a dynamic aroma consisting of toffee, caramel and both citrus and piney hops. Flavor is very sweet, with some ripe fruit notes and toffee, along with bready malts, and finishing with some citrus hops. Medium in body with smooth carbonation. Very good beer.
