Zwart bier met mooie beige schuimkraag die niet lang blijft staan. Smaak is bitter en licht zoet met iets van bittere chocolade, wat koffie, een vleug kaneel en vanille. Erg fijn bier.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Black opaque colored brew with an dry bitter taste with no alcoholic burn. Hints of roasted malts, vanilla and cinnamon. Unfortunately can't trace the maple syrup.

Black with thin head. Luckily there's not much cinnamon in this one. Some maple earthy sweetness. Very dry finish.

23/08/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierboetiek de Zythotheek. Dark brown with yellowish head. Nose is dark malts, mocha, maple, vanilla. Taste is maple, vanilla, nice texture, bit mocha, soft roast. OK.

Bottle @ home. The first few sips I really enjoyed the vanilla, the sweetness, the maple. After a few sips the beer became more soy sauce like and the vanilla kinda seemed to vanish, which made the beer less enjoyable. Makes the beer hard to rate, because I really enjoyed how it tasted initially, but I didn't enjoy finishing the bottle as much.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB Jul 19. Dark brown color, medium frothy brown head. Aroma is soft in general, some licorice, some maple syrup, some chocolate. On the spicy side. More sweetness in taste of vanilla and maple syrup, some sharp alcohol and roast, licorice spicyness. Weird unbalanced brew. Ah, there is cinnamon in it, according to the label. Bottle @ Winterbierfestival Gouda 2018. Almost black color. Beige to brown head. Aroma's from the glass: salty, urine, vomit, roast. Retronasal: sweetish, maple syrup. Flavor is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, roasty. Medium bodied. Quite bitter finish. A bit weird (considering the aroma's), but in the end not bad.

8 3 8 3 16 Bottle at Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda ‘18. Near black with a beige head. Aroma of maple syrup, light herbs, caramel, malt, milk chocolate, vanilla and toffee. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
