Bottle @ home shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy yellow color, medium sized white head. Aroma is citrussy, vinous, fruity and slightly dusty in a good way. Tastes about the same. Lovely balanced sour wild ale with a citrussy fruity touch and a little bitterness. Nice!

Hazy golden and lightly coppered coloured body with a decent two centimetre tall head with a lot of bubbles. Aroma of funk, brett, yeast, wheat, coriander seed, flowers and a good deal of grassy characteristics with not much hops at all. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong brett and yeast flavours throughout with a lot of funk, some grass and floral elements with hints of sourness from lemons and grapefruit, but absolutely no hops at all. Aftertaste is rich and complex with the yeast, brett and sour funk flavours, but the malt, hop and ’typical’ beer flavours are very minimal. Overall, an interesting beer that is pure wild ale and not an IPA in the slightest bit, but it’s what you expect from Crooked Stave. Nice to sample, but I wouldn’t have paid this price nor taken it halfway back across the country if I knew it was this. I sampled this 37,5 cL split bottle purchased from Mr. B’s Wine & Spirits in Denver, Colorado on 08-March-2016 for US$5,99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-December-2016.

375ml bottle thanks to Toby. Hazy golden pour, small white bubbly head. Hoppy aroma, yeasty, brett, sour aroma. Taste starts off with the sour bite, some citrus, hoppy finish. Gender bender.

On tap at Fool's Gold, pours a clear dark cherry red with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet and sour cherries, with gentle acidic. Flavour is very complex, with impeccable depth to the cherries, followed by subtle wild yeast that creeps in wonderfully. The cherry depth really just shines here. Fantastic stuff.
