A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth with reasonable fine carbonation. A modern Kernel malt base, somewhat on the thin side but delivering just about enough creamy sweetness. The intriguing hop array crystallises into smooth pine, a touch of soft black pepper, mildly bitter soft grapefruit and mellow bruised tangerine. A whisper of brighter tropical fruits as it closes to a light and semi dry finish. Modest marmaladey bitterish linger. Yeah, it goes down easy but it lacks the Kernel pixie dust of old. A bit of hop brightness and zing.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon and green banana. Flavour of white bread and lemon sponge. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel as if this was served on cask. Soft fizz. Well balanced and in great condition.

Keg at Mother Arch II, 13/01/23. Lightly hazed golden orange with a good sized white cap that clears to a swirl. Nose is orange pith, grass, tangerine, pine tickle, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises bitter orange, toasted malts, light pine flicker, grapefruit, light bready elements, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with well rounded lightly aggressive hop bitterness. Decent pale.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Figs & Grain. Pours lightly hazed gold with a fluffy, pure white head. Light sweetness, soft dank notes, tangerine, melon, pine, peach, supportive pale bread. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Great balance to finish, nice citrus, more peach, white grape, restrained piney bitterness. Magical.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Hazed gold. Absolutely beautiful Kernel swede. Some hop combo this. Big fleshy citrus and sappy pine. Clean as a whistle malt backdrop. Juicy on the palate too. Fleshy pithy bitterness to finish. Glorious.

500ml bottle direct from the brewery. It pours lightly hazy golden / blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy and pulpy, mango, nectarine, orange squash, white bread marmalade sandwiches and tangy fruits. The taste is bitter - sweet, some dryness, juicy, touch green, piney vibes, wood, peppery spice, bread, some stone fruits, peach, nectarine, pithy and orange peel with a firm bitter - dry finish with a twang of citrus. Medium body and soft, massaging carbonation. Rounded and moreish. Nice one.
