Cask at the Blue Blazer. Pours lightly hazy amber gold with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel and red fruit. Taste has mixed peel and biscuit, light toffee and spice. Light sweet finish. Nice.

Cask at The Colmore, Birmingham. Hazy amber with smooth off white head. According to the lady serving there have been complaints about the hazy look of this ESB - look fine to me! Malty aroma, some chocolate brioche. Taste has a nice malt complexity, somewhat rich with caramel, brown bread and sweet breads combining with a berry fruitiness. I wasn't so keen on the finish as although there is a good bitterness there was a wood and herbal element which seemed cloying. Nice smooth mouthfeel and subtle carbonation. Overall good.

Cask at Bristol Craft Beer Festival 2023. Pours light hazed amber with a slim beige foam. Aroma: light malty, fruity, caramel, light hoppy. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter. Medium body with light carbonation. Tasty.

Pours a hazy amber colour with almost no head. The aroma is fruity, tart strawberry with some hoppy notes. A moderately bitter taste, malty, tart fruit and bitter hop flavours with a robust bitter finish. Unusual and interesting.
