500ml bottle. Poured almost black with a short-lived, fizzy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt and chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, slightly watery, roasty, coffee, chocolate, red berry fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

500ml bottle (as Santa's Stout); BBE May 2020. Drank at home on 15th Dec 2018, my third beer in a random tasting evening with myself. Poured twice into a Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass. Black bodied with a tanned foaming head. Plenty of chocolate and coffee esters in the aroma, taste also appears to have chocolate and coffee flavours from the malts and oats. Nice.

Bottle from Booths, Media City, as Broughton Santa’s Stout. Black with no head. Crisp tasting but bland in the main, with only a very light coffee flavouring. Has a smooth texture.
