Fruit Beer - Grape Ale Rotating
Score
7.51
ABV: 7.9% IBU: - Ticks: 2
This beer is two barrels of oak aged ale blended into a native yeast fermentation of locally grown Marquette grapes. It has a deep red wine like color and tart currant-like character. It is carbonated and comes off a bit like a Lambrusco.

Bottle from Wolcott, drunk 1/1/25.
Pinkish-crimson-raspberry. Clear. Small, light pink head.
Light and airy, carbonic and fruity with light mineral and mild acidity in the form of light grape and light Brett. Not as rich, intense, well-developed/expressed as the Gorgons but that beer is one of the best I've had in recent memory. This is still very nicely-aged without any harsh/heavy/overly dry acidity. Mild oak, bits of Gamay or, sure, labrusco-like grape playfulness linger.
Soft, wheat-and-oak-like tannin structure with good depth, high attenuation. More lively carbonation, a bit lighter, brighter, fruitier grape character without the rich salinity and deep, earthy, velvety flavors. Still no slouch and only suffering due to immediately following the Gorgons. No aggressive acidity. Gentle Brett, fruity wine grape and gentle oak with easygoing funk.
