H16 ALE je speciální a velmi výrazné pivo anglického typu. Svrchním kvašením, použitými druhy amerických chmelů a dalšími technologickými postupy se naše šestnáctka zásadně liší od ostatních piv, která nabízíme. Ve vůni ucítíte dominantní citrusové aroma. Tělo je výrazně hořkosladké, hořkost je vyšší a jasně rozpoznatelná, ale díky použitým druhům chmelů se rozvíjí spíše v závěru a doznívá po napití. Oproti klasickým pivům typu ALE jsme se rozhodli naši šestnáctku vařit tak, že drží pěnu velkoryseji, než je pro tato piva typické. Jedná se o výrazné a silné pivo, které doporučujeme pít v menších sklenicích.

Tap at Nubeerbar. Lovely shiny amber body, off white, thick head - almost a 5. Aroma... buttery notes over tropical hoppiness, sweetish. Creamy taste, apricot, light bitterness, subdued diacetyl. OK CZIPA, I can see why it got the higher ratings, but it suffers from the classic faults of the genre.

(Draught at Beer Geek Bar, Prague, 20 April 2018) Golden amber colour with dense, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, apricots, tropical fruit, resin and herbal hops. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, citrus, resin, tropical fruit and fresh herbal hops in a finish with balanced bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA. Nice one.

Pet. Bursztynowe, niemalże klarowne, piana okazała, drobnopęcherzykowa, dość trwała. W aromacie przede wszystkim żywicznie, trochę trawiaście, pod tym czuć nuty chlebowe. W smaku słodko, ale z konkretną goryczkową kontrą, która szybko się urywa i nie zalega. Chmiel fajnie balansuje się ze słodowością i karmelem, którego też trochę jest. Jest nawet takie delikatne coś przywołujące skojarzenie z diacetylem, choć nie jest to paskudne masło. Wysycenie średnie, dla mnie odpowiednie. Ogólnie piwo nie jest niczym specjalnym, ale trafia dość dobrze w moje gusta i po prostu mi smakuje.

Draft at BeerGeek Bar, Prague. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma and flavors of citrus, tropical fruit, caramel, pine. Well-balanced.

Ein etwas schwereres IPA, wobei das wohl nur dadurch so wirkt, da es weniger bitter ist, sondern auch einen malzigen Kern hat. Dieser wirkt schon ein bisschen nach Honig, was aber nicht schlecht ist, da dies gut mit den fruchtigen Aromen harmoniert. Eigentlich ein wirkliches Top-Bier, wenn hinten raus der Hopfen noch ein paar bittere Hacken schlagen würde. Dennoch auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Bottle, 330 ml, shared with JFK10000 and Miro. Pours copper with large off-white head. Caramel, malty, moderate ti light hoppiness, marmalade, sweet, citrus, bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle 1500ml. PET. [ As Hendrych H16 Ale ].ABV: 7.5%. Clear medium to dark amber orange color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, wood, light apple and citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, pale malt, caramel, hops bitter, dry, herbal notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160422]

Plastic bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are hops, marmelade, fruits, flowers and malt. Nice bitter finish.
