51/50 IPA is brewed to meet the standards of even the most judgemental hop snobs. Dry-hopping over several weeks allows us to create a pungent and dank aroma with a spicy and piney finish. Next time you want to stick your nose in a glass of hops, grab a 51/50 IPA. Why call it 51/50? Because we have to be crazy to put this amount of hops in a beer. Simcoe and Eureka dry hop.

Lys brun klar med høyt hvitt skum. Lukter sitrus og lyst brød. Middels+ i bitterhet, sitrus og urter. Kort.

355ml can from Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Pours gold, medium white head. Aroma has pine, strong malt. Taste continues with strong caramel malt, resin, pine, orange fruit although perhaps not as vibrant as expected.

From an underfilled can, strangely enough. Hazy blond colour. Aroma and flavour have strong lime citrus notes. Quite herbal. Lasting bitter finish.

Keg at BD Soho, 30/09/16. Rich golden amber with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, biscuit, straw, toasted grains, grapefruit esters. Taste comprises orange pith, light perfume, caramel malt, toffee, toasted bread, orange rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, moderate hop bitterness in the close. Ok IPA ... A little old skool but we’ll balanced.

Can from The Beerhive. Hazy pale golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of hay and biscuit. Flavour of steel and grapefruit peel. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Dull and lacking in hoppy flavours.
