51/50 IPA is brewed to meet the standards of even the most judgemental hop snobs. Dry-hopping over several weeks allows us to create a pungent and dank aroma with a spicy and piney finish. Next time you want to stick your nose in a glass of hops, grab a 51/50 IPA. Why call it 51/50? Because we have to be crazy to put this amount of hops in a beer. Simcoe and Eureka dry hop.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden colour with a large white head. Smells hops, fresh, pine.. Quite nice. Tastes bitter, hops, fresh, fruity. Medium to full body, perfect carbo.

Golden with a white head - Good fruity hop aroma - Good malt body to spoort the hops that gives a fruity flavour - Some malt and hops goes into the finish - This was nice

Slightly rustic IPA, citrus, light sweet fruits. Medium bodied. Medium bitter finish. A bit toasted in the back. Good.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB april 2015 (? Just added this to their shop), large sample. Clear golden color, medium white head leaving good lacing. Aroma is soft hoppy, pine, cookie, caramel. Medium , firm malty backbone, though not sweet. Clean and crisp. They should get this stuff fresh i guess, instead of importing old ipas.

From bomber to pint glass. Dank pine, dank pine and dank pine aroma dominates. Clear copper-orange with white head. Flavor is all pine and spice with slight biscuit malt. Overt bitterness. Overdone.

Draft at the brewery taproom - Temecula. Decent IPA. Some spicy pine needles, dried citrus, lemon rind, grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous in the finish with further spicy pine and moderate dried citrus fruits. Good and tasty.

22oz bottle pours a clear orange with some thin, white head. Nose is nice, piney, orange, grapefruit, zesty, honey, lemon. Flavor is very solid, sweet, zesty, peppery, herbal, grapefruit, orange, lemon, pine. Clean, zesty finish.

The low fill 22oz bomber pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some lime and lemon grass and then malt sweetened mango. The taste begins with grapefruit, some lime and sweet malts. As the hops become more bitter and resiny a nice mango tropical fruitiness shoulders its way into the picture. This is on the bitter side even for the style but I’m enjoying every bold IBU.

On tap at Stone 17th anniversary party. Clear, a bit pale golden beer with a white head. The aroma is mostly piney and peachy, some notes of pale malts. Dry on the palate, pleasantly carbonated. Pine cones, resins and citrus peel, and with a nice bitterness. Bitter finish. Quite nice, although a tad one dimensional. 130816
