Cask; special for the Wetherspoons Autumn 2014 International Real Ale Festival. Brewed using amber and brown malts to produce a smooth, nutty flavour, and American hops (Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe, Summit) for a full hop aroma.

Cask at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is roasted malt, aniseed, light medicinal. The flavour is light bitter witn a burnt toffee, smoky malt palate. Medium bodied witn average carbonation. A tasty beer but a little on the light side for a brown ale.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. First beer of the Autumn 2014 festival. A dark amber pour with no head; nutty aroma; nutty taste, well balanced with some light bitterness; and a clean finish. OK, but hopefully there are some more exciting beers in this festival.

Cask @ Sir Titus Salt, Bradford. Clear dark amber-brown with a very thin head. Has a lovely fusion of chocolate malts, nut and grain that produces a fine aroma and taste.
